Making Virgin Coconut Oil
Method 1
1. Split an old coconut with a sharp cleaver (or get it done at the shop)
2. Scrape the meat out of the shell and chop the flesh into tiny pieces then blend in the food processor (or get it done at the shop)
3. Wrap the shredded coconut flesh in a cheesecloth & squeeze the milk out into a container.
4. Leave the jar unattended for at least 24 hours, as it sets the milk and the oil will separate.
Cold-pressed virgin coconut oil is made with no heat. This allows the oil to retain more of its naturally healthy benefits.
