Coconut Oil

Making Virgin Coconut Oil

Method 1

1.  Split an old coconut with a sharp cleaver (or get it done at the shop)

2.  Scrape the meat out of the shell and chop the flesh into tiny pieces then blend in the food processor (or get it done at the shop)

3.  Wrap the shredded coconut flesh in a cheesecloth & squeeze the milk out into a container.

4.  Leave the jar unattended for at least 24 hours, as it sets the milk and the oil will separate.

Cold-pressed virgin coconut oil is made with no heat.  This allows the oil to retain more of its naturally healthy benefits.

Milk

Milk is full of nutrients like:

  • Lactic acid - responsible for removing dead skin cells thus unblocking pores and allowing the skin to renew
  • Proteins - building healthy skin cells
  • Vitamins and Minerals - protect from infection and premature ageing
Milk is also a natural bleaching agent.

Vinegar

Liquid consisting of acetic acid and water.

Distilled Vinegar:

There are many types of vinegar i.e. White, Malt, Wine, Apple Cider, Fruit, Balsamic, Rice, etc.
